Just recently I received an email from Google Adsense. They informed me that there have been illegal clicks/impressions associated with my Adsense ID. Unfortunately, it is their policy not to give out any information on the source of the problem.
Like many of you, I welcome the little bit of earnings I can accumulate through Adsense ads in my blogs. I look forward to that day when I would actually reach payout and see some of those earnings. I would hate to lose this opportunity.
As I think about what, if anything, I am doing that could have caused this, there is one program that makes me stop and think. Webbizinsider is a program I recently started using. I think it is primarily a traffic exchange. When I look at other people's websites (ads) I earn credits which are used to get traffic to my blogs.
The Google email suggests it could be impressions and not clicks. Likewise the Adsense policy states that there can be no use of any automated system for viewing my ads. Makes me wonder if Webbizinsider is using some kind of automated system for this traffic exchange. It would make sense. I doubt they hire a 'clicking fool' like me to sit on the other end and look at my website.
This is the only program that is related to one of my blogsites. The pay-to-click, pay-to-read programs do not interface with my blogs.
Any ideas? Do you think I'm barking up the right tree? This program is definitely not worth risking my Adsense status.
