Yesterday I had a very sweet prayer request. A young family that is very close to us, my daughter’s best friends, has two little boys, four and thirteen months. The for year old calls me by a term of endearment that is part of his Chinese heritage, told me as I greeted him that he is growing peas in his back yard. I told hem that when his peas are grown I will come help him pick them and show him how to shell them if he will let me eat some. He agreed.
A few minutes later, as I entered the auditorium for our worship service, he stopped me by the pew where he and his dad were sitting. He called me by his name for me and said, “I would like you to pray for my little brother to get well and please pray for my peas to grow.”
I went to the pulpit to greet everyone and then offered a prayer of blessing on our worship and closed with these words:
“Dear Father we ask your healing hand on Kelton, that he may be restored to his playful self. And we ask you to help the peas in Kai’s back yard to grow, bringing joy to his heart and glory to your name. In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

That is Sweet
and that is a lovely prayer.
He will probably remember that for his whole life, FF&F
I remember a girl in my Bible Club once asking prayer for her sick dog. I prayed and the next week she was so excited when she told us her that Jesus had healed her dog. Don't you wish that we all would have the faith of little children?
As I sat down after the prayer, Jeanne,
My eyes filled with tears wishing I had that kind of innocent trust, and that I was worthy of the little boys request!
