Adding Photos to your BlogEvolve Blog

A photo does really enhance your blog - and for some people it is a mystery.

Here is the easy way I do it.

I use a digital camera (a Pentax Optio 60) - and download the photos to my computer. I generally use ACDSEE to manage my photos (the program came with the camera - but there are many other good programs to use). I tend to reduce the size of the photo to 50% - and often crop it to make it look better.

Then I use a free program - www.FlickR.com - and my photos are there for all to see.

I then select the photo I wish to use, and click on it. I come to another window where the photo is rather large, but at the top of the photo it says "all sizes" and I click on that and usually choose "medium".

When it opens in the medium window - you will find to options - with some html code in it. I generally use option one here - so I select and copy the html - and then paste it into the body of my post.

You can check how it looks in "preview" but if you have done all that - hey presto - you will have a photo in your post.

I don't know how hard it will be to scan the stone, Elly

upon which my likeness was chiseled when I was a pre-schooler.

Mmmmmm

we'll have to ponder that one.

Thanks, Elly.

It's just a bit strange to have to go to such lengths just to place a photo on this blogging site. Thanks, though.

I don't find it a hassle

I find it is easy when my file is not too big, and it uploads while I am doing something else. I don't have photoshop or similar - but really all you need to do is find the html code and insert it in your post.
