Baseball is the national sport in the United States. However American rules Football is by far the most popular spectator sport in America. In fact Football is so popular that Super Bowl Sunday is an unofficial holiday with everyone glued to their TV sets watching the game. Even non-sports fans watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and half-time show. With many people attending Super Bowl parties.

interesting
interesting Huttriver...Softball is played in the United States also but it's mostly a women’s competitive sport. However it is played recreationally by both men and women here.
You are so right, Toad. My first grandchild was born on Super
Bowl Sunday. There was a TV set in the labor room and my son-in-law could hardly keep his eyes off it while waiting for the birth of his daughter. We still tease him about it.
In his favor though, I must admit that once she was born, he forgot all about the game. Babies tend to be the center of attention no matter where they are.
That's a nice story
