Bean Processor

If life is boring, then meet your new friend: palm civet.

palm civet

Palm civet can bring some exotic excitement to your life. His (or her) unique skills are essential for making the world's most expensive cup of coffee. I'm sure he is underpaid!

Peter Jones customers (England) will feel quite special when they order this cup of coffee. The coffee is made from an exclusive blend of Jamaican Blue Mountain and Kupi Luwak coffee beans. The Kupi Luwak bean is rare, with less than 450 lbs harvested each year.

Now, hold on to your hat. Our dear friend, palm civet, finds and eats the best and ripest coffee berries, digests the fruit pulp and excretes the beans on the forest floor. He is not able to digest the bean, but gastric juices do enhance the flavor. Plantation workers then collect the beans, which are sold as Luwak coffee.

This coffee is a delicacy and at up to $100 dollars per cup you may not want it every morning.

Even if the cost

was not a barrier, the thrill of trying this coffee seems to be lacking for most people. Maybe it's better to be introduced to this 'great' coffe first, and educated after. What do you think about that?

I've heard about it previously,

and am intriqued - but not enough to try it! Pooh, to that idea.
