Joe Biden, Obama's pick for VP, is an interesting candidate, primarily because he is a pro when it comes to saying the wrong thing and putting his foot in his mouth.
In one of his more recent blunders, he described an Obama TV ad as 'terrible'.
The ad is the one where Obama attacks McCain because he is not up to speed with computers and does not do his own email. Biden, Obama's running mate, when asked about the negative tone of the campaign, and this ad in particular, during an interview broadcast Monday by the CBS Evening News, said he disapproved of it.
"I thought that was terrible, by the way," Biden said.
Asked why it was done, he said: "I didn't know we did it and if I had anything to do with it, we'd have never done it." What the AP doesn't like to report, but was clear in the audio clip, is that Biden also tried to cover Obama as well, but then he stopped mid-sentence. Remember, the ad says that Obama approved this message.
This may be the first time in history that a VP candidate has openly bashed the ad of his own party's presidential candidate.
As I understand it, McCain's war injuries are part of his lack of computer use. To me it is not really an issue anyhow. A person like McCain is probably used to having an administrative assistant, as well as other staff, which would be far more efficient.
