New Zealand has won more than one gold medal in a day in an Olympic Games before - Peter Snell and Murray Halberg achieved this on the track in Rome within an hour in 1960, but have never won five medals in one day before.

Having my Google Adsense account disabled will affect a lot of my future blogging.

It is a fact that many of my blogging accounts were set up to promote my Google Adsense account; even my Blogger Party account was originally in that category before a number of sites such as Blogfeast were closed down. Since then BP has become one of my regular blogging sites, along with Blogevolve, Communati and a few others.

New Zealand was attacked by weather bombs during the last week...

NZ was attacked by weather bombs during the last week, from the north to the south, from the west to the east. Storms have ravaged the country, with high winds, heavy and driving rain; trees were uprooted by the score; heavy seas prevented water being drained off in some places. Many homes have been damaged, some inhabitable. In the north thousands of homes have been without power for days on end, and some for many days to come because of falling power lines, fallen trees and slips. Mother Nature has been in a foul mood this week!
