Body-mass index

Body-mass index or (BMI) measures body fatness by measuring weight relative to height.

To find your body-mass index divide your weight in pounds by your height in inches squared and multiply that number by 703

A simpler method is to measure your waist. A waist of more then 35 inches if you’re a female or a waist of more then 40 inches if you’re a man is considered risky.

By losing weight you will reduce your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer and a variety of other illnesses.

An item on BBCTV confirmed what I've suspected for years

that going on a diet to lose weight only works in the short term, and that yo yo dieting is counter-productive. New Research advocates exercise as the best way to lose weight, not that once a week strenuous gym workout but regular gentle exercise. Walking, swimming, horse-riding, golf, cycling anything that you enjoy enough to do three or four times per week.

I wonder what they will tell us next!!!

Hatsrus don't listen to the hype

A diet low in processed foods and an active lifestlye is all most people need to lose weight and feel good.

I don't now listen to the hype. The so-called experts tell us so

much balderdash perhaps we should listen to our own bodies and do what works for each one of us.

good advice hatsrus

Everybodys body is different.
