I've read that a good diet is important for strong nails. The nutritious diet that is best for your body is also best for your nails.
Green vegetables - broccoli, snow peas, spinach
Lots of fruit, which provides natural sugars (a.k.a. carbs) and a source of hydration. Try oranges and bananas.
Milk is great for calcium, and if you are not a milk fan, combine other dairy foods with a calcium supplement.
Meat, nuts and eggs. Not all the time, but you do want to make sure you get enough protein.
Seems to me that the secret to healthy nails is to strive for a healthy body. Works out pretty nice!
