Children say the darndest things.

I've lifted the following story directly from a newsletter that I receive - a great newsletter for writers. You'll see the story in the most recent newsletter that is archived on the website. The writer is Jennifer Stewart.
The newsletter is a must for writers.

The story is as follows:

Jake is 5 and learning to read. He points at a picture in a zoo book and says, "Look Mama! It's a frickin' Elephant!"

Mother takes a deep breath and says, "What did you call it?"

"It's a frickin' Elephant, Mama! It says so right on the picture!"

And so it does ... "A f r i c a n Elephant"

Great story, don't you agree?
