China is exercising it's longstanding power to control the news that people are allowed access to. Videos related to the Tibetan priest strife were showing up online. These videos apparently do not match the Chinese governments view of life, so they decided to block all access to YouTube.

I can only hope that countries like the U.S. do not get the same idea. With the mainstream media in the U.S. pumping more propoganda than truth, the internet is an important avenue for finding some of the truth.

Even though there is plenty of inaccurate information on the internet, at least people can still publish the truth if they want to.
