Climbing The Magnolia Tree

We have a nice Magnolia tree right at the end of our driveway, probabaly between 30 and 40 feet tall. It has limbs almost perfectly placed to allow the boys to climb it.

One of them was in the top of the tree yesterday when he saw the little neighbor girl come out of her house. He called her name, but it took her a few moments to realize where he was. When she did, she wanted to climb up as well. I was trimming a hedge nearby and told her to be sure it was okay with her folks. She ran home and came back with her mom, who approved the adventure.

The kids were having a great time, till I started singing, "Bryce and Zachary sitting in a tree...."

That would be lovely to do

but they are not close to my door here. I do love the shape of the flowers too.

The only negative about the blooms, Elly

is that they do not last very long.

It does seem to be a natural attraction, Hutt

especially for little boys.

Makes reading blogs fun

...when you put up pictures with the post. And I enjoy these trees too. Cute kiddies!

I love Magnolia trees

and do not have them at home, but I can get my "fix" in China as there are many of them here and when they bloom in spring they are quite a picture.

Magnolia blossoms are so fragrant, Elly

that I can smell them as I open the door when they are in bloom.
