Clinging to My Screen

Look what I found clinging to my window screen. I don't know about you, but I like to avoid them. This photo is from the back side of the screen, taken from outside -- which means -- that spider is on the inside of my screen -- which means -- said spider is in my house!

Jellen, when you post one of your Photrade pictures here on

Blogevolve, do they charge you a usage fee for it? I notice that they say every time a picture is viewed, you receive credit. How does their pay system work? Maybe you could write us a whole blog entry on using Photrade.

This much I know, Jeanne

They have a formula based on how many views your photos get and how many ads they received $ for...at least that is what I'm thinking. I get about 2,000 view spread out on my photos per month, and so far, I have only made about 3 bucks over 3 months of being there. But the potential is there for more. There are good photographers and no so good ones. Many folks just send in snapshots.

The keywords you select per photo are what makes them come up in a search. If the photo comes up in a search or when folks click on you blog here at BlogEvolve, it counts as one hit. That's why I use Photrade instead of Photobucket. Hey, a few cents is more than diddly. And blog posts with pictures are interesting.

It's by invitation only and I've used up my 3. If you are interested, ask Sire or Elly or do what I did and ask the admin directly for an invitation. Then take lots of pictures. You might even sell some. My photos aren't the quality to sell, but are instead just creative. I see that Photrade is in beta stage. That means the $25. fee to join is waved. But that beta goes for a year, so I'm wondering if I will need to pay the fee next year. Since I don't make that much, I may be using photobucket next year.

Hope this helps. Maybe Sire or Elly can tell you more. As far as how to use the site, it didn't take long to figure it out. Just go clicking on icons and such and you get around.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jellen,

I had already joined it and put up a few photos, but couldn't find any info on the site about whether they would charge you for using your own photos in a blog entry on a different site. I didn't know you were supposed to be invited, but they let me in, so I guess I won't worry about that. My pics aren't the greatest, but they are of things I like to look at so maybe someone else will, also.

Funny how I

don't like real spiders, but have the fake ones all over the outside of my house for Halloween right now!

That one's just freaky, Jellen.

Kids and spiders

Little boys may like spiders...until after the first sting. Hopefully, a daddylonglegs is the first to offend. They are rather harmless.

Shame on you, Hutt and Elly

You wouldn't really wish that on anyone--even a splogger--would you?

It looks too big to be a

"money spider." I don't like them either. Sorry - an invading spider will soon be a dead one!

Great Halloween decoration, Jellen.

Maybe you should just let him (or her) be, at least until the 31st.
