Communati appears to have lost and gained some new writers since it went offline.

I guess they have some new writers seeking Adsense exposure and lost other writers to other sites.

As far as blogging sites go, I have had another blogging site disappear under me - 'Write Niche'. I wrote New Zealand niched posts there. Some people aren't always interested in NZ news.

My Write Niche blogging site gave me the opportunity to post about my homeland. But a couple of days ago it expired, without warning.

So off the top of my blogging head, I have lost WritingUp, Blogfeast, Blogcharm, Write Niche and a couple of other blogging sites that I can't recall where I used to write. These affect my Adsense coverage as well. How safe is Blogevolve?

Mind you other sites would be most welcome to have the parasitical sploggers we have here - they know who they are!

Who knows...

as long as we can keep this one going, get more dedicated writers and get rid of those sploggers !

I remember that

the admin at Blogfeast would try different things to make the site better and increase traffic. Of course some of those changes led to an excess of advertisements on the site, and then the extended downtime before shutdown.

I'm sure any community blog can be made better. In the meantime, we just have to do our best to support this site.

If my blogging is making money for the admin, it would be nice to have some acknowledgement of that.

You are right, Hutts

though the Admin here is very clever, but something made him spend more time elsewhere.

It is a shame that this site is not more popular

I know our admin appears sometimes, but would love to see a more active admin - to get rid of the sploggers and to share his great knowledge. I don't know where his top sites are, but I know he has others.

This one had its website expire...

just like Blogfeast. Its totally irresponsible. If you dont plan to keep things going, let the members know in time so we can recycle our posts.

Being one

of the Blogfeast victims, I can barely imagine what you feel. It's a big deal when a favorite blogging site is all of sudden gone. It can be discouraging, and obviously the community blogs play an important role.

It would be interesting to know why - too much work, not enough profit, ready to move on to something else? I do not know.
