Cool Shrooms Grace My Stump

Here is a photo of some very cool mushrooms growing on a tree stump in my backyard. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out what species these are, but I gave up. There are so many kinds of shrooms, sometimes even experts can't identify every variety.

My biggest question is, are they poisonous? They look very tempting to eat, but I guess I just don't dare. But I do have a plan.

There has been this vaccuum cleaner salesman coming by my place every couple of weeks, very persistently trying to sell me a vaccuum cleaner that I don't want or need. I'm thinking of inviting him in the next time he comes around, and I am going to offer him a nice chicken sandwich with melted cheese and mushrooms. I will use these mushrooms.

Then, if the vaccuum cleaner seller fails to show up again in a couple of weeks, I may have more information about whether these beauties are poisonous or not.

I had to take a lot of photo classes when I was in journalism school, but about the only real thing of value I learned about taking good photos is:

"Move in close."

birthday parties, other family gatherings, and even the dogs playing together would almost all be improved if they moved in closer. You do have some really nice shots. I am especially fond of the the weasel.
