Cure for arthritis:

Arthritis is a long term illness with no permanent cure. Some basic treatments can keep this disease under control.

1) One can go for several drugs and ointments that the doctors prescribe for temporary pain relief

2) Phototherapy or PUVA (Psoralen with Ultraviolet-A therapy) is prescribed when psoriasis is severe or when it covers a large area of the skin. Psoralens are taken by mouth several hours before PUVA therapy or sunlight exposure. This is an outpatient procedure but requires meticulous monitoring.

3) Exercise is a must for arthritis patients to retain mobility in joints and especially of the spine

4) In severe joint trouble, intractable pain and stiffness, joint replacement or arthroplasty gives excellent result

5) Red meat or marine fish are big no-no for arthritis patients along with beans, nuts, spinach, tomatoes and pulses.

Once you have arthritis...

you don't get rid of it.You have to manage it with pain killers, and I guess fitness helps.
