Debunking the Bible - Part IV - Joseph and Moses

The Geminian Rants:

Why did it take Moses so long to go up onto Mt. Sinai and get the Ten Commandments? Could not God have manifested the stone documents with just his word or on solid platinum laser engraved? A scroll would have been better. Why stone tablets?

I think the reason why is because Moses was alone chipping away at some native stone for two weeks making it up along the way. A for effort.
So God said "take this down?" or did Moses think he would forget The Commandments before he got back?

He could have carried God's Commandment on a much lighter tablet in his mind, choosing to etch after climbing down. He was gone so long that nearly all his people lost faith and quickly made an idol to another god.

These idolators were the same people who had been freed by God from slavery in Egypt and had been allowed by God to cross the Red Sea when it parted.
Where did a bunch of slaves get enough gold to make an idol?

I submit that possibly, when they were freed, they gathered gold they had been stealing all along or they looted all they could from the Egyptians during their Exodus, possibly explaining why the Pharaoh suddenly had a change of heart about letting Moses' people go.
Or maybe the Pharaoh learned that God was able to smite the First Born by having all their slaves murder those children since they obviously knew them all by name and coincidently they were all up very late that night.

Since there were so many slaves in Egypt Moses could have directed them to pour all the red dye from the local tanneries and textile houses at a specific time or sling shot a bunch of frogs.
Having witnessed all these things in the first person, these slaves, I cannot believe they would lose their faith so quickly at Mt. Sinai.

Let's recount how they came to be slaves in Egypt in the first place. 500 years earlier, they came willingly to Egypt because they were starving and Egypt was not. Luckily, when they got to Egypt, they found that somehow one of their people,(Joseph,) was able to get the Pharaoh to give him the power of Pharaoh. (This was because somehow all of Great Egypt came to be without learning how to save some food for later. Well, despite all this good luck, somehow in 500 years they had worn out their welcome so badly that Egypt made them slaves. Somehow the Cananites accepted this slavery for 500 years until another one of their people was able to infiltrate the royal tier once again.

Amazing how they manage to paint the picture that absolves them of any wrong doing or responsibility for their situation.

The poor Caananites had no food but,

-they saved all of Egypt with dream interpretation and frugal asset management..

-Egypt enslaved them just to be evil and because Egypt so badly needed those people who lose their faith so quickly and who had ate themselves into starvation.

-they flooded Egypt and probably put tremendous strain on the native economy.
What happened to Joseph? Did he die with Pharaoh powers?
How, during all that slavery, was Abraham's staff was able to be preserved for Moses 500 years later? This being a different staff than the one God instructed Moses to use when negotiating with The Pharaoh.

Why did God's Chosen people end up on the brink of starvation, get lead into 500 years of slavery, followed by 40 years of wandering the desert killing everyone they saw? Into every city, they killed every living thing, men, women, old, young, cattle, sheep, and donkey?

Sounds like Sand Pirates?

As they approached each city about to murder they carried in a golden case, God's Commandments. One of which is THOU SHALT NOT KILL.

If God led them out of slavery, who led them in?

Why did God's great earthly interactions with humanity that were noteworthy only seem to coincide with the existence of a Godlike Empire, Rome, Egypt, Babylon but not later or more currently.

Why does the ability for one to make into the bible stop for all of us? If it is a history book why isn't it still being added to? Nothing new is going to happen? I cannot have my faith and it's story immortalized in the latest version, somewhere between Jesus and The End?
Between all the God speak lies truth that need only be sifted through the net of common sense.

I understand Toad,

The power and usefulness of these stories, they inspire me. David and Goliath still invokes much power inside me, but did that happen? It is important to me not to have put faith and make my daily decisions based on what may be fiction. So I look for answers to important questions as far as validity. These questions seem to have had a profoundly negative impact on some other bloggers at communati, they have started deleating my blogs as soon as I submit them. It was this same blog that set them off. I appreciate that you were able to comment from a different perspective without condeming me for merely asking these questions.

Don't ask me if the storys in the bible are real...I like to think that they are real...I guess I could say their real to me and that is all that matters:)
