Democracy?

There have been elections in the UK, for England they were local council elections, for Scotland and Wales they were also local council elections and also for the Scottish and Welsh assemblies. In Scotland three different systems were being used on two separate ballot slips and also the system of filling out these ballot papers had altered since the last time that the Scottish people went to the polls. It is no wonder that the Scottish people were confused and this resulted in over 100,000 ballot papers being spoilt and not counted. This may not seem very many votes but it is a lot when one considers the size of the Scottish electorate. If Scotland were any other nation the United Nations the EU and the UK government would be screaming that the election should be run again. Unfortunately the election for the Scottish parliament will not be run again. Who is the UK to tell others that they should be more democratic when they don't practice what they preach? Surely this election should be re-run. Over 100,000 people went to the trouble of going to vote and because of poor organisation the over-complicating of the papers, and the two elections being run on the same day their democratic voice has not been counted. Is this democracy?

There is talk of two legal challenges to the election. One from

voters in Glasgow and another on behalf of the voters on the Isle of Arun. The votes from the Isle of Arun came accross to the mainland on a boat which broke down, many of the ballot papers got wet and were spoilt and therefore not counted.

This election was a comedy of errors from beginning to end, apart from the boat breaking down, electronic vote counting machines had problems. The machines counted the votes and sent the results of the count to a central computer and then refused to allow the constituencies to have them at all.
lol.

Sounds like there's been an injustice

to the people of Scotland and democracy.
