Doctor orders "stay home" Boss says "work or get fired"

Can your boss make you come to work even if a doctor has ordered you too stay home?

The reason I’m asking this question is because my employer recently changed their attendance policy. Now even if you are sick with a doctors note you will be punished for the absence…


Is this even legal under the Law of the Untied States?

It depends upon what state or country you live in

Labor laws vary and in some states in the U.S. this would probably be legal.

Frankly, rather than worrying about whether or not this is legal, it makes more sense to find a better employer.
