So, what does economic stimulus mean to you? I always thought that it was a financial maneuver to inject money into the economy and thereby cause other good (and significant) things to happen. Much as we think of a person investing their money, they intend to get back more than their original investment.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Congress has lost sight of this. They have determined that the required element is spending, not economic stimulus. The magic is in the spending and it matters not what you spend it on. Compare your own investment of $1000 to a one day shopping spree.

A couple of examples: I am told that on page 147, you will find that the economic stimulus package includes $335,000,000 dollars for education about and prevention of s_xually transmitted diseases.

Another item discovered was $4.1 billion going to the Acorn group. They are the corrupt voter fraud organization (where O. Hussein used to work) that pretends to help the poor get housing. Obviously a little reward for the last election and a little insurance for the next one.

There is no reason to expect improvement in our economy from this kind of spending. If things do happen to get better, then you will know that it is due to market forces and has nothing to do with feeble government efforts.
