Here comes Easter Bunny?

The junk mail before Christmas filled our mail box. We hate the massive pile of paper, but do seek out some of the specials. We were quite shocked though to see one of the first bits of flotsam in the letterbox straight after Christmas - a promotion of "hot cross buns". Our Christmas tree was still flashing it's lights and the stores are wanting us to get excited about easter buns? A bit rich, I think.

I find it somewhat of an insult really - it is certainly commercialism gone totally wild. And I will refuse to buy any until just befort Easter as I usually do.

It's just about money

I doubt if the big supermarket chains have any concept of the religious significance.

I would definetely agree. Its all about commercialism. Of course its too be expected when you look at the roots of Easter and where it came from!
