Hickenlooper

Mayor John Hickenlooper (Denver, Colorado) has a plan. Realizing that Denver must join in the fight against global warming, he has made the "climate action plan" his main focus. We can only hope the plan can be implemented in time to save the planet.

Hickenlooper, city staff and a team of over two dozen community and business leaders have spent several months developing this plan. Many of them fear Colorado will be hit really hard by global warming and will see an increase in droughts and forest fires. The leaders know they must be bold, but they have their eyes set on reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 4.4 million metric tons by 2020.

Of course there is a price to pay. Residents of Denver will soon be asked to make personal sacrifices. The residents of Denver understand that they must do their part to avert a potential disaster that could affect every human being! Nothing averts global disaster better than some additional taxes and fees.
