Kramer and the long hose

We have a wonderful 13 year old long haired dachshund. You can see him here.

While I am away he is my husband's shadow. He lives in the house - and sleeps in the main bedroom. He doesn't beleive he is a dog.

When we go out for more than an hour, he is put in the laundry downstairs with a comfy mat, a bowl of water, and treats. He has a tendency to behave badly if ignored for any length of time, and we have deemed it safer for all our belongings if he is confinded to the laundry at these times.

But he can always get up to tricks.

As we have had drought, and stringent water restrictions I have a long hose from the washing machine, one end attached to the outlet pipe and the other end, deposited in that part of the garden that needs the most liquid refreshment.

There is a small hole beside the laundry door at floor level - conveniently there before we installed the hose, and the recycling hose as we call it, goes from the washing machine, through the hole and snakes its way to its destination.

I've been getting angry with MM - every time I go to release the dog, half the hose is IN the laundry. He's been getting angry with me (and giving me the silent treatment as he thought I had been doing it.) When we came home yesterday I asked hubby about it. He thought I had done it, and I thought he had. I'd also noticed that there are small holes in the hose.

It seems the culprit is none other than Kramer - who bored out of his wits, spends the time dragging this huge snake like hose through the small hole.

His teeth have punctured it - hence the holes.

Kramer does not like being left alone, or ignored. This is payback!
