Ladder to Heaven

While visiting my sister at her rural home in the Pacific Northwest, I spotted this ladder leaning up against the house. Perhaps she was cleaning branches or leaves off the roof, or maybe she was cleaning out gutters for winter. For whatever reason that ladder was leaning there, it looked like a ladder to heaven from down below. So I snapped a photo of it from my perspective.

Ladder to Heaven
Beginning with bottom rung --
Each his own journey

And what if

the ladder began to topple? Were you prepared with a video camera?

No video, djbtol

It looked fairly safe, especially since I wasn't standing on the rungs - just the ground beside it.

Nope, Hutts

I think he's on the bean stalk rather than ladder.

Funny

Thanks, Elly

Adding pictures to my posts has opened up a whole new creativity for me. As far as earning form the photos...haven't made a thing but for a few pennies from ads on the other site. If for no other reason, the photos are just more fun to blog to.

If your sister has a ladder to heaven, Jellen

I would like to find out where she lives so I can make my way there as soon as possible! Of course, if Ike keeps his current track, I may be blown to heaven without need of a ladder!

I think you already know

You know the way to heaven -- and do be careful about that IKE. Don't take chances. This might be the weekend to consider closing down church and getting the congregation to safe places.

many of our folks are gone north, Jellen

but some will stay in the building tomorrow night. There will probably be a small but thankful group for worship on Sunday, probably without electricity.

FF&F, if you're reading this....

You still have electricity and or phone service. We hope you stay safe and your loved ones and congregation fair well.

Thanks Jellen and djbtol

We will probably have power for at least the next several hours, I expect it to go out late, well into the night, but it will probably be out for up to a week on the other side. Thanks for the well wishes.

Pulling the plug on the computer, Jellen

so that we don't run the risk of power surges damaging things. I hope to be online again soon.
