Limerick from China

The English Teacher from Oz,
Taught students to write limericks because
It helped their English grammar
And made the class clamour
For more limerick ideas for class.

This is the best I can come up with. Strangely I do teach the students here to write Limericks, and we've had a lot of fun with them. I had to teach about Ireland last semester, so we talked about the city of Limerick, which I had been to.

A few days ago we were at a baseball game in Houston. There was a couple behind us cheering for a player from Japan, using Japanese. My grandsons, 7 & 8, who have spent three summers in Singapore and Shanghai,said to each other, "that is not Chinese" and turned to ask the folks where they were from. We were impressed that they could distinguish just on a small sampling.
