Looking for adventure?

I've almost completed my first semester in China. The end of the semester is closing in, and I'm packing up to return to Australia, via a few days in Shanghai, and a week in Singapore. It has been an amazing experience, teaching English, here. And I am returning. I will sign a contract for a further semester - from the beginning of September to the end of January 2009.

I have kept my family and friends up to date with my stories here and my Adventure Lady blog, but there has been so much that much of it has not been recorded in the blogs. I'll try and update as time goes on.

At this time of the year, the Chinese schools are seeking more "foreign teachers," to teach English, especially those for whom English is their native language.

This is a chance for those from US, Canada, UK, New Zealand and Australia - your chance to travel and see this amazing country.

It is not easy to get in. There is always a shortage of English teachers, with TESOL or ESOL qualifications. Mostly you need a degree - preferably in some teaching faculty. It is not easy getting a Visa to work here. The colleges and agents will help though.

This is one way to travel - there is a lower cost of living here, and it is an amazing country. Safe, as long as you obey the country's laws.

Looking for adventure? Got a degree and a desire for adventure? Contact me, and I'll forward details of this college.

Thanks, Hutts,

and it is adventure waiting for anyone with the right qualifications.I really am looking forward to next semester. The culture shock will not be an issue for me. It certainly was on this occasion, despite my preparation.
