Money management.

Why is it that we are often loathe to seek "professional" advice, especially about money matter? I've worked in several areas of the finance industry over the years, and don't profess to be an expert, but I do KNOW things. One of the things I know is that there are professionals who offer quality advice. So many folk seem to want to "go it alone" without the benefit of several opinions.

I know that there is some crisis in the home lending market in the US - and there are some ramefications for Australian home loan lenders. Our interest rates have risen several times this year, and it will be interesting to see what happens in the new year under the control of the new Labor government.

The whole money management area is very overwhelming for most people - and most of us know that there are often more than one solution to their situation, but it is all so hard.

I am impressed with all the information on the Internet that enables folk to do some quality research. It should make it easier.

There is concern in Australia that we are using too much credit, and I know that many families are struggling now with the increase in interest rates, cost of food, etc. and finding life more difficult. For some it means that they will have to go bankrupt, or sell their home and rent for a while, or refinance.

There are some good sites for checking mortage offers too. One such site is here.
