Sea sickness

Sea sickness is a form of motion sickness attributed too the movement felt while on a boat. Although no one has died directly from sea sickness people have died from asphyxiation from inhaling their vomit. But for the vast majority sea sickness is just a very unpleasant experience which will eventually pass as your body becomes accustomed too the movement of the ship.

There are over the counter medications you can take such as Dramamine. Or you can fight it out and find your sea legs the old fashion way…lol Personally I’ll take the Dramamine…

Anyway thanks for reading.

I've heard, Toad

I've heard that ginger helps too. Have you heard anything about chewing on ginger before going boating?

The only advice I can give about avoiding sea sickness is never eat fish before going fishing. Somehow the two don't mesh.

And no bacon, eggs, and sausages either

which they often serve for breakfast on game fishing boats!

Yea Hutt...I've became sea sick many times myself...It really is no fun....

I suffer from this

often, but still go boating and seldom take anything, as I've never had great success with things. In any case I can do many trips without being sick.

I love fishing - and I find standing in a bit boat as it rolls with the sea can make me sick. Anyway, as we say in Oz, it is good burley for the fish. I have bouts of sickness, between bouts of good fish catching!
