Salmonella contaminated tomatoes have been associated with 228 illnesses in 23 states. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention still does not know the source of the contaminated tomatoes.
I always thought that food produce was tracked and dated in the United States. I guess I was wrong. I just don’t know how the government is unable too determine were these tomatoes came from.
If you think of it this is a national security issue. Imagine If terrorists contaminated imported tomatoes with anthrax or other biological weapon.
