Ok, so I have started my blog "Structured Settlements". I have added an article from "ezinearticles.com" which let's you reprint articles for free as long as you include a link back to their site and the author information.

I could have researched and written an article myself but I will wait til later to do that.

For now I just want to get the search engines to index my new blog, which by publishing it here on BlogEvolve.com an already established site, it won't take long. In 1 or 2 days Google will know about it.

How or why did I choose to blog about "structured settlements" you may be asking?

Well it does sound like kind of a boring topic but I am not doing this blog for fun. I chose this topic for three very important reasons:

1. There is a lot of people searching for information about this topic.

2. There isn't too many websites on the Internet targeting these keywords. Lower competition means it will be easier to rank higher in the Search Engines.

3. Very good payout to click ratio for Adsense. Just getting 100 visitors a day I estimate I will earn around $5-$10 a day or $150-$300 a month.

Now you need to know how I researched these keywords.

First I used the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool

This will give you an idea of how many searches there are in the given month for any keyword phrase. My phrase Structured Settlement returns over 250,000 for the month of October. This means that many people searched for this phrase using the Overture Search Engine, which is owned by Yahoo. This doesn't count how many people searched for it on Google but I can guarantee it would be almost double.

If I find a phrase that I think may be profitable I then do a search for it on Google to see how many pages Google has listed. Searching for Structured Settlement on Google returns about 112,000 at the time of this writing.

Then to make sure it is profitable I go to the Keyword Bid Tool

This will show me how much advertisers are paying for each click. It shows about $7.25 a click which is very good. That means that the people that advertise in Google probably pay even more per click. That means Adsense will pay very good per click. I estimate around a dollar or so per click is how much I will make.

Well there you have it. The secrets out. Actually many of you may already know about these techniques. Anyone that is serious about making money with Adsense needs to be able to research their keywords before they start.

If you are just blogging for fun so be it, but if you are interested in making a living at home and then blogging for fun like I do you need to learn these basic techniques!
