On a day trip to Mayfield Lake this summer, I stood where I took this photo along the beach. The waves gently splashed against the shore, rolling over smooth pebbles along the beach. It was a tranquil moment, one I seem to enjoy over and over simply by viewing this photo. There’s something about beachside places, something that seems to sooth the soul. No matter where a person lives, there always seem to be a lake, a river, or the sea where one can go to rest the weary soul and find serenity.
