Well, well! Insuring your unborn children against birth defects, complications and death will be a reality down under this year.

ING Australia launched a policy for women aged 16 - 40 years in May 2008 - providing payouts of up to $50,000 for defects such as Down syndrome, spina bifida and blindness.

Cute Chinese children

I see quite a few children - there are some that visit the college, and others I see in the bus and 'in town.' They are cute. All children are cute - especially little ones.

It has been so cold in these parts - I think I heard that it has been the coldest weather in 50 years - and the children are well and truly rugged up to keep out the winter chill. I've not seen children as rugged up - there's no need at home.

The Tamagotchi Experience

Yesterday was a weird day. While we were picking flowers (we are in business with our daughter and son-in-law) with a flower growing business, our daughter came up to say that both children were sick. One is waiting for a tonsilectomy - being in constant pain/high temperature with a throat infection. It seems that both sisters were suffering from the condition yesterday. Would I "babysit" later in the day? Sure.

Adventure Grandmother

My daughter left her two girls with us last evening as she had a medical appointment and her husband was late home from work. We love having the girls visit, and luckily as they live close by it is a regular occurrence.

Kids say the funniest things!!!!!

Recently I was with my 4 year old grand son. I had a wonderful time. Just the two of us had a wonderful adventure, but I learned he is likely to tell some very tall stories.

Completely "out of the blue" he announced "My Daddy wears lipstick."
