There are so many mysteries in China. Like the fruit (and I've posted some photos of weird fruits and a nut.) Food in general a mystery. A visit to the supermarket is a weird adventure as we are always finding packets of things that have no English words and we have no idea what is in the pack. Not that we'd buy it often. But you never know.

Jellen asked about the worst breakfast we have ever eaten. This is my entry, but let me preface it with a bit of background. I am a pretty picky eater. I can eat anything, but there are a lot of things I do not like.

Salmonella contaminated tomatoes have been associated with 228 illnesses in 23 states. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention still does not know the source of the contaminated tomatoes.

Tandoori chicken in a bottle?

At the mere mention of the word 'Tandoori Chicken' induces saliva-right? My husband was once a non-vegetarian. He used to like tandoori items and tandoori chicken was his favorite.

India is famous for tandoori chicken. No other country can prepare better tandoori items than India because of the various spices that are used in the preparation.

1)If you mix the oil and vinegar into a salad separately,add the oil first.If you reverse the order,the oil just slides off the wet leaves.

2)Slice tomatoes vertically rather than horizontally.The slices will stay firmer in your salad and they'll help keep the salad dressing from getting watery.

According to the FDA, “Extensive evaluation of the available data has not identified any subtle hazards that might indicate food-consumption risks in healthy clones of cattle, swine, or goats,".
