2009 was the year that 20 year old Sonny Fai of the NZ Warriors NRL franchise rugby league team in Auckland was going to make it to the bigtime after 15 occasional games for the First grade. They all said this was HIS year!

There is a cane toad invasion of north east Queensland in Australia - a waiting timebomb it is claimed.

Just what is a cane toad? I thought they were confined to the Queensland sugar cane fields.They are actually an introduced scourge on the scale of wild rabbits. The Queensland players in the Australian State of Origin rugby league team are nicknamed the 'Cane Toads'.

It is late afternoon of New Years day here in New Zealand. It has been a warm summers day, but getting cool and windy. We have had rain hanging around the hills for a couple of days. We had many of our grandchildren here again during the day and evening.

We continue from what I suggested in Part One, which occured early on the first day of creation. Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. The age of creation continued on a formerly devastated earth.

So in effect the church is correct in a way, the age of creation occurred 6,000 years ago - but of modern man.

While the CIA has reportedly a long reputation in winning over fickle Afghan warlords, chieftains and other leaders with the usual variety of inducements: food, pocket knives, tools, mirrors, medicine and surgeries for family members, toys and school equipment, tooth extractions and, even pharmaceutical enhancement for an ailing patriarch with a limp libido - there is always the little blue Viagra pill!

Recent news reports have claimed "America Most Wanted" host, John Walsh, son's kidnap and murder solved at long last.

His six year old son was kidnapped and murdered 27 years ago by a drifter who later died in jail, Florida police have revealed recently.

Outgoing President George W Bush received the ulimate insult in the Arab world when he had a pair of shoes thrown at him by a local journalist at a media conference in Iraq.

Despite the shoe-thrower being arrested, it is unlikely he will be severely punished because most Iraqis have applauded his actions. Shoes are the dirtiest things a person can throw at another because they are the closest to the ground. In Bush's case many Iraqis consider that he is responsible for dragging Iraqi society through the dirt. Interesting!
