We had a great day today, a bunch of us from the congregation went to a seminar called Get Motivated.
There are lots of whats and whos that inspire me. To name a few:
Great Music inspires me. I have no musical talent whatsoever. (I once had a fella tell me, “not only can you not lead a song, you couldn’t knock it down and drag it!”). But hearing music inspires me and lifts me up. I could name a thousand examples, “How Great Thou Art”, the theme music from The Magnificent Seven, Unchained Melody, The Day the Music Died, Danny Boy, even Jesus Loves Me when sung by a little one.
Last night I was in that dusty old BlogEvolve mansion. I say that because it reminded me of that rich, dusty old mansion with the many rooms portrayed in the movie about Lewis' "Narnia." The rooms where so many discussions are taking place. Past the rooms are the threads. Other worlds indeed.
I used to feel that I know my own limits, and in me lay the concept of what I am to become, of what I want to be part of, of what I will be doing in the near future, of what I think would be nice for me, of how my fears would start to end its dreary situation, of which way will I choose next.
The conqueror of Mount Everest has died. The giant of the forest has fallen!
New Zealand mourns the death of Sir Edmund Hillary, arguably the greatest New Zealander in living memory; he died today of a heart attack at Auckland Hospital after a long illness. He was 88 years old.
Digging deep to find something to write about to day - so will refer to one of my inspirational cards for inspiration.

Dear Mr Rowe,
I think of you often – and really don’t know that you have passed on, but I can’t find you anywhere any more. It is nearly 35 years since I last visited you at Brighton. I can’t find your name in the phone book – I’ve looked for years, as I’d like to visit you and tell you how you inspired me. You were by far my best school teacher. I think you must have passed on, and I didn’t know.
I was thinking today about those ads in the back of magazines and comic books back when we were kids. I may be dating myself a bit, but they are fond memories. It wasn't exactly that I ever got all the products or gizmos.
