In today's news, I read about an industry that's seeking 5 billion in bail-out money from the federal government. It seems it too has been hurt by the slowing economy, and its reason for asking for bail-out help will shock you. The industry believes that since American government is willing to bail out industries important to American consumers, it should bail them out as well. What industry is it?

The neighbors must think it's 2009 already. They are sending off fireworks -- which they do every opportunity they get. They begin days before an event and continue days after it. Their dog is right in the middle of it all and my dog is cowering inside my home.

Christmas is memories past, memories present, and memories future. As I decorate the tree, each ornament reminds me of a time and place, when and where it was purchased or how I crafted it special for the holidays. Each year, I have tried to make something for Christmas decorating, just to make a memory of this year. Since I have lots of unfinished projects, I’m sure I will have a few left over for next year. But let me share one with you that I made nearly 28 years ago, on my husband’s and my first Christmas as a married couple.

When so many are suffering from layoffs or the poor economy, how can anyone support an increase in federal pay for judges? Although I have no idea how much a federal judge currently makes, I'm sure it's sufficiently better than the average American worker.
