Hold on! You think I'm talking about those brave souls who hide behind sunglasses and other articles of disguise in order to make a buck by evaluating a store. But I am not!

Believe it or not, I am once again on the subject of politicians, and more specifically governors and congressmen (both groups in the two-gender context). I will concede that my data is limited, but I've been thinking about what these people feel is important to communicate to their constituents through websites and emails. I have noticed a pattern.

Michigan’s legislator is considering increasing the dropout age for high school students from 16 to 18. Students have been able to drop out at 16 since the 1800’s in Michigan.

Personally I think it would be wonderful too increase the dropout age too 18. Sixteen your old kids think they know everything some chose to dropout without even realizing the consequences that they will face latter in life. Not to mention the fact that most drop outs end up on some kind of government assistance.

In recent days here in Australia our headlines in the media have carried stories about a famed football player whose behaviour has gotten him into a lot of trouble. He is facing court in Miami, USA, and Australia for some pretty low behaviour. He seems to have a problem with "anger management" according to the Miami police and apart from "glassing" his girlfriend there, and assaulting her here (I can't understand why she still remains with him!)and as a result he has lost his media jobs. Not that he is short of money - he probably doesn't need the $$)

An ethics business survey of 2,000 workers asked workers if they ever experienced retaliation from managers and or co-workers as a result of their reporting of a potential ethics violation. 88% of the workers surveyed said no while 12% said yes they have experienced retaliation.

Oil hit $100 dollars a barrel for the first time January 2 2008 then backed off slightly to end the trading day at $99.62 dollars. Prices at the gas pump and home heating oil prices are both expected to increase.

I read of Chinese anger with worsening pollution back in 2007 which was allegedly fuelling increasing protest there, the nations top environmental official claimed.

He criticised local governments who had protected factories which were turning rivers into sticky polluted glue.

First off I must apologise for not be around very much. I can assure you it has nothing to do with the qualit of Blogevolve which I feel is a great community blog. Those of you who know me and are members of Communati and Bloggerparty, can vouch that I haven't been frequenting those site much either. Why is it that we are often loathe to seek "professional" advice, especially about money matter? I've worked in several areas of the finance industry over the years, and don't profess to be an expert, but I do KNOW things. One of the things I know is that there are professionals who offer quality advice. So many folk seem to want to "go it alone" without the benefit of several opinions.
