The capital of Thailand is Bangkok and the official language is Thai. 56,800,000 people live in Thailand. Of which 95% are Theravada Buddhist.

Thailand is the only country in south east Asia to have escaped colonization by a European power. However Thailand was occupied by the Japanese during world war 2.
