The greatest actors go to great lengths to actually become the characters they are portraying. First there must be a good deal of study and preparation. He or she must KNOW the part. The most difficult portion of the job is to give up his own character in order go give life to the role he is playing.

Christianity is much more than acting, but there are similarities. We must strive to become Christ like. There is necessarily a great deal of study and preparation just to know the part. But then the most difficult portion of the task is to give up one’s own character to allow Christ to live within instead.

Galatians 2:20 ”…and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”
