The world is losing the Blue Whale

Most people know that the biggest animal in the world is the Blue Whale. However most people don’t know that the Blue Whale is also the largest animal ever too exist.

The largest blue whale to date is a female that weighed 389,760 pounds (176,792 kg). Whaling has devastated the Blue Whale population. It is estimated that there are around 10,000 Blue Whales left in the world and their numbers are not expected too recover.

It really is sad that we are on the verge of losing these gentle giants.

Bigger than life!

10,000 whales weighing about 300,000 pounds! It's like science fiction; bigger than the planet can hold!
I took a quick look at a pic of a blue whale. If readers follow the link, they might remember the huge size of the ocean traveler.

Yea they really are huge and gentle animals....It angers me too think that some countries such as Japan and Iceland believe they have a right too hunt whales....
