Time To Start Praying, Folks

Some time ago, I posted an article here called, "God's Promise To Heal Our Land."

The United States, which is FAR from united at the present time, is facing a crucial election, and many of us are fearful of the results.

The Bible, in II Timothy 1:7 tells us that God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. The financial chaos, unemployment, hatred and discord we have experienced in the last few months, are enough to keep most of us awake at night, but it doesn't have to be that way.

God wants to heal our land, and will, if those of us who are Christians meet certain requirements He has set forth in His word. Check out my earlier article to see what those requirements are.

I have another of Peretti's books, The Monster, in my shelf of books I want to get around to reading. Maybe your reminder of an author I like to read will get me busy on it.

you want to read with the light on bright.

That book was a changer in my life, actually led me to be a part of intecessory prayer groups in the various places I've lived, and helped me to understand particular gifting I'd not fully understood or stepped out in before.

I am seeing so much more really hateful dialogue concerning God, lately. Many today seem to have no fear at all of the one who made them and my heart breaks for the shock they will someday have when they truly realize what they have done. By the way, what is happening to this blog site. I see only two or three entries and nothing beyond that. Has it crashed, or is it just my computer?

problems

one blogger is dumping dozens and I am trying to interject discussion questions to help the boards out a bit...but not sure it's working.

And regarding our nation, depends who you ask. Our church is seeing several a week saved out of things like meth addiction, etc. So I am believing God's favor is on this nation because of all the intecessors praying and standing in the gap.

Humility, Jeanne

is a humbling thing, but a needed thing if we are going to see our land healed. Thankfully, many are praying, humbling self, admitting sin, turning from it, praying, and returning to God. Many more may find that humility as difficult times find them. Seems to work that way sometimes.
