Timing Is Of The Essence

This photo is one of many I took in another series of falling drops.

Timing is of the essence not only when you want to capture this sort of photo, but also in many situations that life may throw at you. Get it right and you can expect great things, but get it wrong and there can be a catastrophe waiting to happen.

One wonders if this can also be true in blogging. Although the results of mistiming may not be as dramatic in blogging I can't help but wonder if the timing of your posts can have any relation to the immediate exposure it gets? Should I be delaying my posts so that they appear when it's morning in another time zone when people are waking up, or evening when they come home from work.

Any ideas?

Picture is wonderful, Sire

Thanks for sharing. Visitor readership is usually up in the early morning (today guests-6) where I live in the Pacific Northwest...so figure out what time in the middle of the night that makes it where you live... More bloggers gather in the afternoon, I think.

Readership browsing happens whenever you post Sire...unless the sploggers move everything off the boards so readers are clueless.

The thing is Jellen, that means working out time differences and correlating the results, and that is all too hard for this blogger. lol

Yeah, the photo looks a little out of this world doesn't it?

Re the question. I have noticed how visitors happens in spurts but I never bothered to take note of the time. I reckon that someone out there is a little more diligent than this Aussie blogger.

Wow, what a photo!

re the question you ask, I don't know the answer. One needs to experiment. The reality is that we are not getting as many visitors here, and in any case most of the bloggers here do little promotion. Few links, few posts etc. It can only get better.
