Tips for that perfect cup of iced coffee

Here are my tips for a delicious iced coffee. I apologize for taking so long in posting.

Summer is on the horizon and with it, the incredible bouts of thirst that become like faithful companions during the sun-kissed days and nights. Blasts, smoothies and milkshakes are all right, but for all of you coffee drinkers out there, iced coffee is another option, a cold, tantalizing, refreshing one.

Prepare hot coffee as you usually would, from coffee maker or instant. The difference is the portion of coffee will be double, so if you use 1 tablespoon for instant, you will need 2. Likewise for the coffee decanter. If you use 3.10 to 3.25 ounces for a 48 ounce pot, you must double the portion to 6.25 ounces.

When the coffee has cooled down, pour it in a pitcher and add ice. For a regular pot, add two cups of ice.

Know when to add sugar. If you are using a 24 ounce cup, pour 2 tablespoons of hot coffee first, then add the desired amount of sugar. You then stir the sugar and melt it in the hot coffee.

Fill your cup to 3/4 with ice, then top with iced coffee. Add table cream or 18% unless you prefer skim milk or regular milk.

Add a flavor shot if you want to, hazelnut being the most recommended.

Now that you have all of the necessary ingredients in your cup, shake it roughly. If you have a plastic cup with a lid, turn it upside down. Otherwise, stir with a straw.

You should now have a cup of delectable iced coffee before you. Take a sip and savor every cool drop.
Enjoy!!!

I will write more in the follwing weeks and hopefully tease your tastebuds with tips for making great-tasting blends, smoothies and thick milkshakes.
