Vacate before Winter

This colony must vacate before winter. When the birdseed ran out of the feeders the end of spring, I didn't refill them. There's plenty of food available in the summer months. But this summer, unwanted guests took up residence in the birdfeeder. Yellow Jackets. I'm wondering how I'm going to safely manage to get them out. They are mean insects. Any ideas?

I have not heard of yellow jackets

such as these. What on earth are they?

Yes, you're on the flip side...

Amazing how that works.

With his one hand

that works and his quad cane...I'm thinking he would be worse at fending them off than me:)

I'll plug the holes with tin foil and drop garlic in first. Garlic is supposed to take care of lots of trouble:)

As far as I know -

I have never met a yellow jacket with garlic breath. I'll try to be more aware.
