Virus Alert

Keep your eyes open for the 'Mail Server Report' virus. Snopes.com reports this as being a real threat. The virus would come in an email attachment.

I have some weird virus at the moment

though I don't think I would have opened an email as you described. I'm having awful trouble - which is quite a challenge here in China. Not many technicians understand my computer - it is in English and they operate in Chinese!
