We are the only friend or enemy of ourself.

In "Bhagavad Gita",very interesting thing about consciousness has been disclosed. That is "By whom, consciousness of the self has been conquered by the
self, his consciousness is a friend, and for whom, who has not conquered the consciousness, his consciousness remains an enemy of the self."

But generally we see, many persons reach top level of excellence in different fields and achieve fame, wealth, power and so on but succumb to the
temptations of flesh,pride etc.

The famous example of this is "Ravana" the king of "Lanka".He was very accomplished Brahmin and Lord Shiva had personally honoured Ravana
besides giving him an important boon.Ravana, became very proud and decided to kidnap "Sita" (Wife of Lord Rama). He refuse all the proposals from his
near and dear ones, resulting death by "Shri Ram".

From this example,we can learn that there are two parts in becoming successful.First is,put the necessary hard work, which many are able to do.Second is
more difficult of the two, that is to stay no course.Any success, including in the spiritual field, giving the feeling of invincibility and sense of superiority.

Success has the potency to make one proud,to look down upon others and many times it becomes revengeful. That is how,one makes progress and spoils it.

We must be as like a tree which bears fruits, the more laden with fruits it is,the lower its branches will bend.Become humble and stay humble.Lord Krishna
said in "Bhagavad Gita" that "Those people who worship me without devoted attention, meditating on me,of those regular practitioner of yoga,I undertake
attainment of what one does not have and security of what one has."

SURRENDER TO GOD,HE WILL GUIDE AND HELP YOU.
