What went wrong with BlogEvolve?

What ever happed too BlogEvolve. I remember a long time ago we had a nice community of writers. Now it seems that half the post are splog. It reminds me of what has happened at bloggerparty.
I wish there was some way too get rid of the junk on this site so we can once again be a respectable community of writers.

I am with you guys on this, but
I don't know what to do to clean things up. I still try to add some positive thoughts. I don't have a lot of hope that it will get better. Why would new writers come and invest time with us in the current situation?

I Agree with you Toad
but it will take all the regulars being regulars to take the site back. I comment a lot but rarely write a blog. It is frustrating to spend time on a blog only to have it pushed off of the front page by the garbage posted by sploggers. Some of the garbage doesn't even make any sense. It is the same for bloggerparty. Sploggers want to make a quick buck by posting and including links into the post. They don't care what they do as long as they think they are making a buck off of it.
I like to comment so our bloggers will continue to post. I respect Elly and Hutt for their endurance and I will continue to support their efforts.

You can help Terminator
but just alerting Terminator to splog. There was a suggestion that Terminator delete suspicious and unwanted material, but so much of it comes in at times that it is almost a full time job for Terminator who gets nothing for the hours spent on this. If you see something that you think is unwanted here. Just write a comment "Splog" under it to aalert Terminator. We need new writers (GOOD ones) and we need our regulars to write more often too. Help my alerting Terminator.

.... curse the ignorant sploggers. There is a core of extremely nice people here who blog their hearts out, especially Elly, Hutt, Jane, Jeane, Familyfunand faith, Jeane -- they are the heart and soul of this BE. My work schedule limits the amount of time I can spend here, but when I do come here, I look forward to reading the posts of these terrific folks.
Maybe the core group should form a consortium or some kind of co-op and become owners of the site??? Then take turns ruling with an iron hand, defeating sloggers post-by-post?? Just a thought.

Thats a good Idea Ken...but as far as I know only the admin can delete posts....
That is the role of MR Green...
to come occasionally, post a story and comment until the sploggers disappear off the front page. He has limited time to do this.

but has an uphill battle unless the Admin cooperates. I suggested he puts the site up for sale to somebody prepared to do something positive with the site.
